Playing an integral role in the Engaged Communities team, this permanent position for a Senior Integrated Communications Advisor will provide expert advice one of four directorates across Council. About the Position
The Senior Integrated Communications Advisor plays a leading role in providing strategic communications advice to business units at Manningham. This senior advisor is responsible for developing and implementing communication and engagement plans to promote a variety of Council services, programs, projects and initiatives to ensure we meet our objectives, brand and stakeholder expectations.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualified in communications or another relevant field.
- A great storyteller, able to identify key outcomes and messages from reports and meetings and develop a strong narrative to inform and advise community, staff and Councillors.
- An innovator with a track record of developing and delivering effective communications that encourage engagement with the community.
- A strategic thinker with an understanding of the diverse needs of the community, the local government environment and ability to plan for delivery of high-quality outcomes.
- A problem solver, able to resolve issues to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Flexible in responding to changing priorities and able to complete tasks within tight timeframes.
- A collaborator with demonstrated success in partnering with key stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
