Manningham City Council currently have an opening for a workshop mechanic located at the council’s depot in East Doncaster. Work in a well-equipped workshop on a variety of light and heavy fleet as well as agricultural equipment.

About the Role
As one of a team of Workshop Mechanics, you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of Manningham City Councils fleet of vehicles and plant. Working in a well-equipped workshop, you will perform a variety of tasks, which ensures that the fleet is ready to serve our community.
Duties include:
- Undertake repair, maintenance, and servicing of vehicles.
- Perform diagnostics and resolve mechanical problems.
- Preventive maintenance including inspection, tyre rotation, oil changes.
- Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the workshop.
- Keeping detailed records of each job including all parts and materials
Must have relevant trade certificate and be fully qualified.
Skills and Experience
- A trade qualification as a mechanic
- Experience with servicing late model vehicles, trucks and machinery
- Experience working with hydraulics preferred
- Current Victorian driver’s license (truck license preferred)
- Current Forklift licence
