About the Role

As one of a team of Workshop Mechanics, you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of Manningham City Councils fleet of vehicles and plant. Working in a well-equipped workshop, you will perform a variety of tasks, which ensures that the fleet is ready to serve our community.

Duties include:

• Undertake repair, maintenance, and servicing of vehicles.
• Perform diagnostics and resolve mechanical problems.
• Preventive maintenance including inspection, tyre rotation, oil changes.
• Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the workshop.
• Keeping detailed records of each job including all parts and materials

Must have relevant trade certificate and be fully qualified.

Skills and Experience

• A trade qualification as a mechanic
• Experience with servicing late model vehicles, trucks and machinery
• Experience working with hydraulics preferred
• Current Victorian driver’s license (truck license preferred)
• Current Forklift licence
