  • Salary $93,237 (pro rata) + 11.5% Superannuation (pro rata)

This is an exciting new opportunity supporting Manningham early years services in response to the Victorian Government’s early childhood reforms, liaising with pre-schools and primary schools and supporting parents and carers.

About the Role

This new position will work closely with the Coordinator Children Youth & Family Services to support Manningham’s early years network and primary schools in understanding and developing services responsive to the Victorian Government’s early childhood Best Start Best Life reform. In this role you will provide also specialist service advice as a key stakeholder in the implementation of the Community Infrastructure Plan and Early Years Infrastructure Plan. You also will be integral in the development and delivery of programs to support early years providers and young families, including the Parenting Seminar Program.

Skills and Experience

  • Experienced in early childhood education with the ability to accomplish goals within specified time limits, budgets and strategic parameters; and contributing to strategic planning and policy development by applying an early childhood lens. 
  • Forward thinking with the ability to utilise your knowledge of industry best practice in early childhood education practices to use judgement, solve problems and implement continuous improvement. 
  • Well-versed in the Victorian Government’s early childhood reform Best Start Best Life, with the ability to impart best practice knowledge and advocacy.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, with the ability to build productive collaborations across the organisation, and with key external stakeholders, utilising the IAP2 Spectrum for Public Participation.
  • A collaborative team player with strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Tertiary qualified in early childhood education, health, social services, or a related field with extensive experience in early childhood education, preferably in a local government context.
