  • Combine specialist age and dementia-friendly expertise and knowledge of planning and infrastructure to make change for older people in Manningham

About the Role

The Age-friendly Development Officer is an exciting new role, within an exciting new team.  Reporting to the Team Lead Healthy Ageing, you will utilise your expertise and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders in establishing and maintaining Manningham as an age and dementia-friendly city, making an impact on the lives of older people in our community. 

Skills and Experience

  • An ability to understand and meet strategic objectives and goals, with capacity to work within a project management framework. 
  • An innovative thinker with the use of sound judgement alongside creative problem-solving skills. 
  • Specialist expertise in the application of the World Health Organisation’s Age-friendly Cities Framework, and Dementia Australia’s Dementia-friendly Communities. 
  • Nuanced skills in stakeholder management and partnership development. 
  • A collaborative team player with strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in health, social services or a related field, together with extensive relevant experience in developing age and dementia-friendly cities.
