This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic Arboriculture team in local government. In this leadership role you will undertake tree related services with a strong emphasis on proactive tree management including implementation of the tree risk program, annual tree planting program and tree data collection.

About the Role
Joining the Parks team, you will lead a small team in the Proactive Tree Services unit. This unit is responsible for the proactive management of Manningham’s tree population, implementing the risk management program, tree planting program, tree data collection program and providing support in the implementation of the electric line clearance plan. This is a great time to join Manningham’s tree department with recently reviewed tree services, new staff a modern approach to tree management and a vision for continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience
- You are a highly qualified and experienced arborist with demonstrated skills and abilities to meet the requirements of the position.
- You have demonstrated experience in the management of internal teams and contractors relating to Arboricultural services.
- You have a sound knowledge of Arboriculture related legislation, strategies, and guidelines.
- You can build relationships and communicate effectively with relevant Council departments and external stakeholders.
- You have experience in the management of teams and the ability to build effective working relationships with staff and contractors.
- You have highly developed IT skills with the ability to extract data and develop programs using tree plotting systems and IT based programs.
