About the Role
This position will process requests for access to Council information and ensure compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Vic) (FOI), Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic), Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) and other applicable legislation. It will provide expert advice, guidance, and training to Manningham Council in relation to FOI, subpoenas, and other information access requests. The role will also collaborate with the Information Management team and promote activities to foster awareness around recordkeeping practices related to FOI.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or relevant experience in FOI, and information access and release.
- Highly experienced in processing FOI requests.
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of FOI, and information access processes that always comply with relevant legislation.
- Proficient in writing policies, procedures, guidelines, and reports.
- Experienced in developing, delivering, and coordinating an organisation-wide training program to improve employee capability and awareness in relation to information release and FOI.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management experience with all levels of organisation.
