This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic Parks team in local government. As Parks and Gardens apprentice you will work within the Landscape team and be supported through your apprenticeship.  In this role you will undertake various landscaping services across the municipality in parks and gardens, with a strong emphasis on soft landscaping. You will be involved in planting and landscape upgrades of parks, gardens and streetscapes including day to day dealings with numerous departments and the general public.

Who Are You?

  • Have a passion to learn and the ability to respond positively to instruction.
  • Have a genuine interest in Horticulture
  • Have a basic knowledge of plant, tools and equipment used in Parks and Garden maintenance activities.
  • Possess basic skills in managing work time, and the ability to plan and organise time to complete set tasks and meet specified work standards.
  • Good Oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work and contribute to a team environment.
