- Based at Civic Centre, Doncaster
Lead the Business, Events and Grants team in delivering a diverse spectrum of economic development initiatives.
- Provide visionary leadership of the Business, Events & Grants Team.
- Utilise your excellent stakeholder management skills to build strong collaborative relationships and partnerships with local businesses, community organisations and across the organisation.
- Oversee the development of key strategic documents, including Council’s Economic Development Strategy.

About the Role
As the leader of the Business, Events & Grants Team, best practice in economic development, event management and grants practice will be implemented, in concert with robust project management and accountability. Innovative strategies will be developed and implemented to increase participation, attract tourism and build local economic prosperity to strengthen the Manningham community, responsive to the Council Plan and Health & Wellbeing Strategy.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualified in business, events management, community development or other relevant field.
- An experienced professional in economic development, events management, and/or community development, in a local government context.
- Strong leadership experience and skills, with the ability to lead a diverse service area and multiple reports with accountability.
- Strong project management skills and experience.
- Strategic and diplomatic stakeholder management skills and experience.
