Senior Integrated Communications Advisor - Circular Economy

  • Band 7, $101k - $113k plus 10.5% superannuation
  • Doncaster location 

We are on the lookout for a creative and strategic communications champion to take on communication and engagement outcomes with our community in regards to our circular economy initiatives.  For Manningham this will include communications and engagement activities around our climate action plan, delivering our FOGO service and future planning for waste and recycling initiatives.

This position will work with various teams around to develop and implement Communication plans line with organisational objectives and stakeholder expectations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Community Engagement or relevant field.
  • Great storyteller skills, able to identify key outcomes and messages from reports and meetings and develop a strong narrative to inform and advise community, staff and Councillors.
  • An innovator with a track record of developing and delivering effective communications that encourages engagement with the community.
  • A strategic thinker with an understanding of the diverse needs of the community, the local government environment and ability to plan for delivery of high quality outcomes.
  • A problem solver, able to resolve issues to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexible to respond to changing priorities and able to complete tasks within tight timeframes.
  • A collaborator with demonstrated success in partnering with key stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
