About the Role

The Planning and Performance team continuously look to improve evidenced-based decision making for our services, so they provide optimum public value. As the Data Analyst you will play a leading role in managing data, data visualisation and storytelling to drive cross-organisational understanding and excellence in how we capture, use and analyse data to drive efficient and effective decision making.

Skills and Experience

  • Advanced experience in data driven reports/dashboards to inform decision making on Council’s services.
  • Skilled in creating new and maintain existing solutions (Power BI, Data Factory & SSRS) for day-to-day business operations and projects.
  • Experience in partnering with the business to promote good practice, self-serve reporting and data literacy using Power BI and similar tools.
  • Experience in developing contemporary data governance/management processes and training in consultation with Executive, Managers, product owners and subject matter experts.
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or or advanced skills and experience in visualisation and business intelligence tools.  These include Power Platform, Microsoft Data Query, Excel, Power Query, PowerBI, SQL and other reporting tools.
