Are you an experienced Executive Assistant who is keen to make a difference in the community?
We are seeking an energetic, committed Executive Assistant to drive the delivery of top-quality administration for this diverse and busy team. Your experience and attention to detail will be highly valued. With huge variety in tasks, this pivotal role will assist the Director and team to provide services across the whole community spectrum – from early years to healthy ageing, from arts and culture to sport and recreation.

About the Role
This full-time role, based in Doncaster, provides essential support to the Director Connected Communities and the broader team as they deliver high-quality community services. No two days are the same. Alongside a wide range of administrative tasks, you’ll also play a vital part in overseeing diverse projects.
Key to success in this role is your attention to detail, especially when preparing information for Councillors and the community. A proactive mindset, respect for confidentiality, a curiosity to learn, and a passion for excellent customer service are equally important. The flexibility to shift between different projects is important and strong people skills are critical – from managing internal stakeholders through to customer enquiries and responding on behalf of the Director. Working from home is available by arrangement for one day per week on average. This is a 12-month parental leave replacement position.

Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in administrative support at Executive level.
- Proactive approach to supporting the work of Directorate.
- Ability to take on projects and events from concept to reality.
- Problem solving skills to adapt previous experience to new situations.
- Ability in setting priorities, planning, and organising own workload in the most efficient way possible.
- Flexibility to work under pressure with absolute discretion, high attention to detail and utmost reliability.
- Awareness of, and ability to operate in, a politically sensitive environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and accountability.
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Excellent knowledge and demonstrated capability in the full suite of Microsoft products.
