About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists within the Integrated Planning Unit for an experienced Strategic Planner. The successful candidate will contribute to strategic projects that will inform future changes to the Manningham Planning Scheme, including responding to a range of state government planning initiatives. The role is situated in the City Planning Team and will have involvement in the preparation of Manningham’s Residential Strategy, including the Residential Growth Framework Plan, which will require community engagement in 2025.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated understanding of land use planning practices, principles, and emerging trends.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake demographic research and policy development.
- Well-developed project management and communication skills.
- Ability to identify and analyse key issues and emerging trends relevant to land use planning.
- Knowledge of State and Federal Government housing policies and current issues related to local government.
- Ability to develop and monitor project budgets.
