About the Role
This position is responsible for the administration and implementation of the Manningham Planning Scheme and all relevant Acts. It involves the processing of planning applications and related requests to facilitate appropriate land use and development outcomes for the municipality, including complex large scale applications in both an urban and non-urban context.
Skills and Experience
- A statutory planner with extensive experience in assessing complex large scale applications in both an urban and non-urban context, preferably within local government in Victoria.
- Tertiary qualified in town planning with knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and processes.
- A problem solver with excellent analytical skills to think strategically and develop design solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to respond to challenging situations and achieve organisational objectives in a team environment.
- Management skills to prioritise and organise work and to provide coaching and mentoring.
- Holds a driver’s licence valid in Victoria.
